RAMMPAAGE

WHAT IS RAMMPAAGE?

RAMMPAAGE is the Regional and Metropolitan Music Program for All Ages, is the only funding program dedicated to young people establishing all ages contemporary music gigs in WA!

Presented by WAM in partnership with the State Government of Western Australia (through the Department of Culture and the Arts) and Healthway, RAMMPAAGE supports all ages local original contemporary music events through funding and skills training opportunities.

Since January 2006, RAMMPAAGE has supported 121 events and distributed over $360 000 in grants.  RAMMPAAGE continues its significant support of the WA all ages music scene throughout 2009 thanks to the ongoing support of the Department of Culture and the Arts, and a partnership with Healthway and Drug Aware.

ALL AGES EVENT FUNDING

ALL RAMMPAAGE EVENTS ARE SMOKE, DRUG & ALCOHOL FREE!

RAMMPAAGE currently has 2 grant types available, the One-Off $1000 Event Grant for first time organisers wanting to start small, and $3000 Event Grant. Applications for grants generally close last Friday of each month - the 2009 funding rounds have now closed.

For more information, please download the following PDF documents, and be sure to talk to RAMMPAAGE Program Coordinator Sarah-Jane before submitting your application:

In addition to the grants, RAMMPAAGE holds various workshops throughout the year, provides specific events management training to Series Grant recipients and keeps young people informed through a monthly e-zine.

Bio

Sarah-Jane had an obsession with music which began at an early age. Raised on a healthy dose of Dylan, Neil Young and Lou Reed - as well as countless music lessons and gigs - the live music bug bit her early on!

Attending all-ages gigs at every opportunity during high school, Sarah-Jane has been working in the industry since the age of 23, when she opened Bona Fide Promotions, a band management, publicity and event management company.

She first volunteered to work on the WAMi Festival in 2006, while completing her Arts Management degree at Edith Cowan University's Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).
