2012 Kiss My Camera - Conditions of Entry
  1. KISS MY CAMERA entries are FREE, and only open to Western Australian photographers. You do not need to be a WAM Member to enter... but we'd welcome your contribution to continue with this and many other events we run through the year!
  2. Subject Matter must be WA music-industry based in any location, or non-WA music-industry based appearing in a WA location.
  3. Submissions opened 9:00am Monday 19 March, and closed 11:59pm Friday 13 April 2012. Late entries will not be accepted, so please do not leave entries until the last minute.
  4. Works submitted can be from any year, however cannot have been submitted to any previous Kiss My Camera competition.
  5. ALL ENTRIES require an online form submission at wam.asn.au/kissmycamera - specifying your image submission method before 11:59pm AWST Friday 13 April 2012;
    1. ONLINE IMAGE FILES must be available for download at the URL link specified on the form until midnight Friday 20 April 2012. Click HERE for some general information about online imaging hosting services.
    2. POSTED IMAGE DISC/S must be postmarked by 5:00pm Friday 13 April 2012 and addressed to:

    3. DELIVERED IMAGE DISC/S must arrive during business hours and before 5:00pm AWST Friday 13 April 2012 to:

  6. Each entrant may enter up to 5 images only. Images are to be entered one at a time into the submission form.
  7. Entries not conforming to specified Kiss My Camera file-format, file-naming &/or file-size requirements may be disqualified from entry;
    1. Digital Image files accepted only - either via URL Link (active until midnight Friday 20 April 2012), or Posted/Delivered to WAM by 5:00pm Friday 13 April on CD-R or DVD-R. Any entry media sent will not be returned, please do not send master media or email photo files.
    2. Image Format is to be JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg) only. Photos are to be taken on an 8-megapixel camera or higher, or film/print scanned to 300DPI file. Images must be of high quality, 300DPI and at sufficient size for printing at 16 x 20 inches for exhibition.
    3. Image File Size to be no greater than 10Mb each.
    4. Image File Naming is to be LastName_FirstName_EntryNumber_ImageTitle.jpg
      for example; Harris_Rolf_1_MyBeautifulWobbleboard.jpg
  8. Images are all to be stills, and original works by the submitting artist. By entering this competition, you confirm that you have read all terms & conditions, are the creator and owner of the work/s submitted, and have gained permission for the person/likeness/item/venue to be exhibited - absolving WAM from any legal action or claim against work/s submitted. WAM will exercise all reasonable care with the entries, however cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to submission information or data en-route, or hosted by a third-party provider.
  9. WAM will pay for the printing of the selected works for exhibition, and these prints remain the property of WAM. Copyright of submitted artwork is retained by the originating artist.
  10. Entrants will be contacted mid-May 2012 regarding the status of their submission using contact details given on the submission form. Please contact us prior any contact details change, as WAM cannot be held responsible for artist submissions not offering up-to-date contact details.
  11. The submitted image/s will be the final media used for the selection of exhibition works by an independent industry panel. The judging decision is final.
  12. By submitting work/s to Kiss My Camera, you agree to have these displayed in Western Australian Museums, other WAM events/venues, used for WAM's own promotional purposes, and available for screen-resolution viewing online.

About Claire


Claire is the smiling face at the front desk - with a passion for garage, rock, punk and trashy movies!

A bona fide music fanatic since a very young age, her interest and knowledge of live local bands has seen her act in various roles, including local band manager, Marketing Officer for ARTRAGE, Concert Licensing for APRA | AMCOS.

In her capacity as WAM Administrator, Claire also assists with the Memberships, WAMi Festival, Song of the Year, annual AGM and Industry Leaders Summit, and has coordinated the Kiss My Camera competition and exhibition since 2011.
