2011 WAMi Festival Wheatbelt Regional Tour
12-15 May
| Northam, Merredin, Narrogin and Quindanning
19-22 May
| Lancelin, Jurien Bay, Dalwallinu and Wongan Hills

WAM are proud to announce the 2011 WAMi Festival Wheatbelt Regional Tours, visiting eight towns through the region over two huge weekends, thanks to the LOUDER touring program at Country Arts WA.

Playing shows in Northam, Merredin, Narrogin and Quindanning from May 12-15 will be Perth indie pop kings Split Seconds and 2009 WAM Song of the Year category winners Minute 36.

Fresh from launching their debut self titled EP in March and playing a run of festivals including Southbound, Big Day Out and Margies, triple j darlings Split Seconds are ready to head out on the road with the WAMi Festival. Joined by the quirky Great Southern region songsmiths Minute 36, the gigs are sure to excite in each and every town visited.

Heading to Lancelin, Jurien Bay, Dalwallinu and Wongan Hills the following weekend, May 19-22, will be Perth stalwarts The Panda Band and local up and comers Ruby Boots.

Perth regulars The Panda Band will headline the shows, bringing their recognisable mix of psychedelic indie pop songs. Coming along for the ride, acclaimed newcomers Ruby Boots are a 6 piece from Perth who have been slowly but surely taking the local music scene by a storm, with shows at Laneway Festival and Big Day Out already under their belt.

All regional shows will feature performances by local musicians from Wheatbelt centres. For more information on the Regional tours or on the full WAMi Festival, visit www.wamifestival.com.au

The 2011 WAMi Festival tour will clock up around 2,000km visiting Northam, Merredin, Narrogin, Quindanning, Lancelin, Jurien Bay, Dalwallinu and Wongan Hills.

It's going to be cosy in the tour vans with The Panda Band, Split Seconds, Ruby Boots and Minute 36 jumping on board to play a range of school, licensed and community events with a raft of Wheatbelt locals.
