WAMi Festival Closing Party
Saturday 28 May | 10:30pm
The Bakery, James Street Northbridge
Tickets $15+bf from nowbaking.com.au

Finishing a week long celebration of WA music, the 2011 WAMi Closing Party will feature some of the best up and coming WA bands at the Bakery Artrage complex.

The triple j supported party will kick off at 10.30pm on Saturday May 28, immediately following the 2011 WAMi Awards presentation, and will feature future stars San Cisco, Split Seconds and Sons of Rico.

Fremantle youngsters San Cisco will open the party, riding high after the successes of first single Golden Revolver, off their EP of the same name. With a set at Groovin the Moo Bunbury and an Architecture in Helsinki support slot in the weeks leading up to the WAMi closing party, these kids will be more than warmed up for the show.

Indie rockers Sons of Rico have a big couple of months ahead of them, with Groovin the Moo Bunbury, a Birds of Tokyo support and their own national tour in June to look forward to. Hitting the stage after San Cisco, their catchy melodies will be sure to have crowds on the dance floor before their set is done.

Later on in the evening, indie kings Split Seconds will take to the stage with their enigmatic brand of sunshine filled indie pop. With recent sets playing Southbound, Laneway, Big Day Out and Margies festivals and supporting the likes of Tim Minchin, Dan Kelly, Little Red and Cloud Control, these boys are sure to impress.

Tickets for the WAMi Closing Party are on sale now for $15 at www.nowbaking.com.au

Limited tickets are available for the WAMi Awards night for $50
which also includes entry for both the awards presentation & triple j Closing Party!
