Conditions of Entry

  1. Kiss My Camera is open to all current residents of Western Australia.
  2. Delivered entries must arrive at WAM, 1st floor, 58 James St, Northbridge, by 5.00pm AWST on Friday 4 March 2011.
  3. Posted entries should be addressed to: WAM KISS MY CAMERA, PO Box 171, Northbridge WA 6865, and will be accepted if postmarked by Friday 4 March 2011.
  4. Entries can be submitted online at www.wam.asn.au/kissmycamera and must be completely uploaded by 11.59pm AWST, Friday 4 March 2011.
  5. Late or incomplete entries will not be accepted.
  6. Entries will not be returned.
  7. WAM will notify successful photographers.
  8. The submitted images will be used for the selection of exhibition works.
  9. WAM pays for the printing of the works and these prints remain the property of WAM. Copyright is retained by the photographer.
  10. All those who submit to the showcase agree to have their work displayed in The Western Australian Museums, other WAM exhibition events and used for promotional purposes and available to view online.
  11. WAM will exercise all reasonable care with the entries but will not be responsible for any loss or damage while in its custody.
  12. By entering the competition you confirm that you are the creator and owner of the work and that you have the permission of the subject to be exhibited.
  13. All entrants must agree to meet the file size and naming requirements.
  14. The judging panel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  15. Works can be from any year but cannot have been submitted to previous Kiss My Camera competitions.
  16. Entrants may submit a maximum of 6 images each.
  17. Entry to the competition is free.

Guidelines
  1. The subject or location needs to be Western Australian:
    Eligible examples:
    Picture of WA music act playing a show at Wembley Stadium England,
    Picture of Non-WA music star eating a hamburger in a Leederville café.

    Non eligible example:
    Picture of non-WA or non-music act playing at a location outside of WA.
  2. Digital entries only (8 mega pixel cameras or higher, or film scanned to 300DPI)
  3. Each image must be submitted in two formats:
    Small for judging (1Mb or less, for screen viewing, no more than 600 pixels width or height at 72DPI).
    Large for printing (20Mb or less, high quality image for printing size around 16 x 20 inches at 300DPI).
  4. Small images are to be named “photographer’s first name_surname_entry number_SMALL.jpg” for example, John_Citizen_1_SMALL.jpg
  5. Large images are to be named “photographer’s first name_surname_entry number_LARGE.jpg” for example, John_Citizen_1_LARGE.jpg
  6. Works can be from any year but cannot have been previously submitted to Kiss My Camera.
  7. Up to 6 images per person may be submitted.
  8. Entry is to the competition is free.

About Claire


Claire is the smiling face at the front desk - with a passion for garage, rock, punk and trashy movies!

A bona fide music fanatic since a very young age, her interest and knowledge of live local bands has seen her act in various roles, including local band manager, Marketing Officer for ARTRAGE, Concert Licensing for APRA | AMCOS.

In her capacity as WAM Administrator, Claire also assists with the Memberships, WAMi Festival, Song of the Year, annual AGM and Industry Leaders Summit, and has coordinated the Kiss My Camera competition and exhibition since 2011.
