Music Industry Sundowner Series

Since 2010 - WAM, APRA and the MEAA have come together to present the Music Industry Sundowner Series (MISS).

In addition to WAM Workshops, the series aims to provide professional WA musicians access to information and provide skills to help forge a sustainable career in music. Each session focuses on a different topic, presented by inspiring personalities with real-world expertise.

 

The Music Industry Sundowners will generally occur on the last Monday of every second month at the Rosemount Hotel in North Perth.

 

Entry to the Music Industry Sundowners is generally FREE of charge for all current WAM, APRA and MEAA members unless otherwise stated. Registration by the RSVP deadline for each Sundowner is required for guaranteed entry.

About Daphne
Daphne Tan

Daphne began at WAM in 2008 while completing her Diploma of Music Business. In 2009 she was Festival Assistant for the WAMi Festival, Western Australia's annual celebration of local and contemporary music, and in 2010 she produced the WAMi Music Business Conference.

In her role as Project Officer Daphne manages the WAM Song Of The Year, WA's premier songwriting competition, is the WAM proxy on the CONTROL steering committee, and produces a number of music events on WAM's behalf such as Sunday Bands in the City and WAM @ one40william.

In 2011 Daphne is developing WAM Workshops - a new initiative to deliver year round professional development and networking opportunities to WA musicians and music industry professionals.
