Goodnight Tiger have won AmpFest 2010! The winners received the lion's share of $10 000 worth of prizes including: recording time, mastering and a promotional package. The darling duo of Jill Chrisp and Perrin Date were completely stoked to be named winners and will use the prizes to further their music career. Minute 36 came in second, Fat Jackal were third and Seams were fourth in what was an exciting and entertaining showcase of young original music.

The Novocaines guest headlined the event and rocked the all-ages crowd at the Final Showcase which was supported by Lotterywest. With four free all ages events held throughout May, AmpFest 2010 was hugely successful and alerted many to the talent in WA original music.

Acts for the AmpFest 2010 heats have been announced!
15 exciting and diverse local acts will perform over 3 heats in May, for a place in the Final Showcase on Friday May 28.
The Novocaines will headline the Final Showcase at Subiaco Church Hall.

Minute 36 won Heat Three of AmpFest. Seams have been selected as the wildcard act. These acts will join heat winners Goodnight Tiger and Fat Jackal in this Friday's Final. This event will also feature special guest headliners The Novocaines.

This will be an exciting event, featuring some of Perth's most promising young acts battling it out for over $10 000 worth of prizes to help kick start their career.

The Final is a free, all-ages event, sponsored by Drug Aware, with the support of WAM, the City of Subiaco, Town of Claremont, Town of Mosman Park, Shire of Peppermint Grove, Zenith Music, Xpress, Soundbaker Studios, RTR FM, Next Big Thing, Shanghai Twang Studios and Healthway.

So come along to support local music and each act's chance to win over $10 000 worth of prizes and join past winners Mink Mussel Creek and runner's-up Tame Impala in the history books.

Doors open at 6pm. Winner announced by 10pm.

AmpFest 2010 - Plug In. Rock Out.
is a chance for up and coming, young bands and solo artists to get noticed in the music industry! This pioneering youth battle of the bands will give you the opportunity to play in front of a pumping live audience, meet music industry professionals and share in a fantastic prize pool worth over $10,000!

Band, duos or solo artists must be an average age of 12-25 to enter.

Entry forms can be collected from Zenith Music, participating council offices, or downloaded from www.ampfest.com.au
