MONDAY 30 APRIL 2012, 6:00pm

WAM members are invited to our AGM, for the presentation of our 2011 Annual Report, to hear about plans for the future, and also to vote for members who have nominated to continue, or elect to act, as Board Members. No RSVP is required, and membership is available for purchase or renewal on the night.

The AGM is an essential part of the running of the organisation, and also an opportunity to meet and ask questions of the people who run WAM on your behalf. It also represents an opportunity to network with other WAM members, staff & board.

BOARD NOMINATION
If you've been a financial WAM member for at least 3-months prior the AGM date (since 30 January 2012 minimum), and wish to nominate yourself for WAM’s Board, please contact WAM's interim CEO Mike Jeffrey either by email on mike@wam.asn.au or by phone on (08) 9227 7962 (regional WA only tollfree - 1800 007 962).

Nominations were to be received by 5:00pm, Monday 16 April 2012

PROXY VOTING
All financial WAM members current on the AGM date aged 18 or over are able to vote on board election.
If you’re unable to attend, you can still exercise your right to vote by completing the Proxy Form.

You may nominate a current financial WAM member who you know is attending, or the Chairman, to vote on your behalf.

Please note that one vote or nomination can be made per membership.
Band or business members must decide on how the group will use their vote.


Proxy votes must be received before 5:00pm, Friday 27 April 2012.

WAM's Board attends monthly meetings to oversee organisational strategy throughout the year, and are not resident at the WAM office.

Board nominations open in the lead up to the Annual General Meeting (AGM), usually held in April each year.

Nominating Board members must be financial members of WAM for a minimum of three months prior to the AGM, be of good moral standing, and act in the general interests of the West Australian music industry without bias or conflict of interest.
